Why She's Rad.

I love Tina Fey. It's no secret. I love that she's funny, weird, looks good as hell in glasses, and makes 30 Rock. In a perfect world, I would be a famous artist/astronaut/skate shop owner, and I would be married to her. We would live in Manhattan. We would be on TMZ.
This is a clip of her answering questions from fan's emails.
It's short, so watch it. Comedy is what makes me wake up in the morning. Besides kickflips, hamburgers, alcohol, and a nice pair of trousers.

Win Or Lose, We're Coming After YOU

NY Rangers head coach John Tortorella squirts a water bottle at a fan, then throws said water bottle at that fan. Of course this was out of retalliation, because some Capitals fans tossed a beer at him. Besides throwing a water bottle, he took a hockey stick, and tryed to fuck up the cowardly Washington fan. Oh, and guess what? A statement has been released saying the NHL has SUSPENDED John tortorella! What the fuck? Look at this. This is how we do it in New York. You grew up in the mean streets of Washington DC? Well, we're from New York, so POP POP BRRRRRRRRAAAAT!

Saturday Footy

Brian and I went to see the Red Bulls play Real Salt Lake. Front row center tickets again! We partied in the parking lot with a heineken mini keg, and proceeded to our premium seats. NY won 2 nil. The drive home was a bit brutal as construction caused massive delays, but what are ya gonna do, right? I got home not too long ago, ate my Wendy's chicken nuggets and cheeseburgers, and watched a bit of Saturday Night Live. TINA FEY <3

Alcohol Consumption

Wow, It's been an awesome day. Today i woke up with a hang-over. Then i tailgated a hockey game with Pat and his dad. This consisted of loads of beer and grilling up some good food. Then i met up with Mike and Hana at Dave and Buster's to celebrate Hana's birthday. Happy birthday Hana! Too many drinks were consumed ( or not enough?), shots consisted of 151, Patron, and some chocolatey shot. Plus a Long Island Ice Tea. I got to keep the glass. Later on that evening some of us spoke to the Devil man who plays with glowsticks at 1:00AM every night. He was super creepy. His name is David. Officially, his new name is Dave The Worlock. Saturday is a NY Red Bulls game with Brian. Were getting a mini keg to party in the parking lot with. My liver feels hard as a rock, my head feels like death, and I couldnt be more happier (?). Im always really excited to drink. I loosen up a whole lot. It helps me cope when meeting new people, although tonite wasnt the case with metting new peeps, alcohol just helps me not care i guess. Is that wrong?
This is a semi-depressing post isnt it? Well, long story short, awesome times were had with good friends, thats all that matters, yeah?

Nostalgic Musings

Have you ever had a decent acquaintance or borderline friend who you have not seen in years and years? Maybe it was a real friend. Maybe it was just someone you remember from school, but have not seen since. Think of those people. Do you remember there voices? Do you wonder where they are at THIS point in time? If you're like me, chances are NO. However, there does come the occasional moment ,where i stumble upon an old friend from my youths Facebook page, and think to myself....do i even remember this clowns voice? Is it bad that I don't? There is one person i used to hang out with for a couple years, i wont drop his name, but when we skateboard now, some of us named a trick we do after him. Anyway, it was safe to say we were decent pals, and now I don't even keep in contact. The many paths in life can be strange, you never know where they may lead you. You never know if the person you're sitting next to will be gone for whatever reason in the next 5 years. So, what does all this lark mean? Keep your homies close. Simple, right?

Beer-B-Q

HAPPY EASTER, FRIENDS!

Saturday Nite we all had a nice BBQ, even though it was a bit chilly out. Meat was eaten, beers were drank, faces were dipped in beans, hands fondling old burgers, etc, Rich brought over some Polaroid cameras and we ran out and got some film to shoot some photos of fun times, ill scan them and put them up soon. We moved the party to rich's loft, and crammed ourselves up there to partake in the usual Loft activities. Oh! I called the radio station 100.3 Z100 and it was awesome. I dropped an F-bomb so i dont think he played our phone conversation over the air. It was ok, because it was still funny as hell. As i type this Saturday has ended some hours ago, and it is now Easter Sunday! So the ClownFarmer wishes you all a Happy Easter. Go Eat Reese's peanut butter eggs and other awesome candies.

Fireworks, Fun and Frustration.

So, what can i say? It's been a helluva day. Mathew escorted us (Kiki, Heather, myself) to PA to acquire some fireworks AKA illegal goods. Road trip shennanigans! Music, good times with friends and...fireworks. We arrive at Phantom Fireworks, and it's like buying black market goods. First paper work is filled out, blah blah blah, must be 18 years old blah blah. This place was like a Stop N Shop of explosives. I bought about $70 of fireworks, and it was buy one get one free, so i made out like a bandit. On the way home we decided to take the Holland Tunnel, you know, a little visit to NYC on the way back. What seemed like a swell idea turned into TRAFFIC AND CONSTRUCTION DELAYS, hence the word "Frustration" in this blig title. Oh well, what are ya gonna do right? Still had a blast. Later on we met up with Danny O and went to Friday's for some food and drinks. Finally after that, we ended the evening lighting some fireworks off at the local Levittown skate spot...The Library. Good fight, good night...
Old Country Buffet tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM.

"It's Blitz!"

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - It's Blitz!
ClownFarmer Record review

Right out of the gates i knew i was going to enjoy this record, after hearing the dance-errific comeback single "Zero". First, let's start out with the album artwork. Karen O has her kung-fu grip on an egg and the photog snapped the shot as it exploded. besides it being a pretty cool shot, what i fancy is the fact that nowhere to be found is the band's name, or album title, which gives off a curious vibe to the kid in the shop browsing through the discs.
...but what about the music? Ah yes, the music. We all know Nick Zinner shreds his guitar and can make it squeal in any sonic shape he chooses, which is fantastic with me, however this time around, for there 3rd effort, Karen O specifically said Nick should put down the guitar, and play the synths. The result? A newer sound scape with a nice blend of guitars and beautiful ambiance. This new direction pushes the band's creativity, forcing them to think outside the box.
Just because they added a couple danceable tracks to there bag of tricks does not mean they sacrifice feeling.
Subjectively speaking, I was never the biggest YYYs fan. There debut, "Fever To Tell" was certainly pleasing to my ears, as it emerged within that magic period of time when NYC experienced it's indie rock renaissance as some would say. There sophomore effort, "Show Your Bones", fell short within my own music tastes, however this new album brings them back up some notches in my book.
