Happy Birthday Danny O, who turned 21 years of age on October 9th. Welcome to the legal world of booze and nightmares. Congrats! Some of us did a Manhattan run to grab many adult beverages and wander about. Long story short i got home home at 5:30AM, im extremely hungover as we speak..or i speak, or type. It's 12:52 at the moment and i have been awake for about...20 minutes. No breakfest yet...just computer lurking and blogging. enjoy those phone pics of the event. I cant seem to remember to bring a camera out anymore, plus holding it can be annoying sometimes. Ill remember soon, i swear. Like you care. clowns. farmers. all of you.

NYC Kicked My Ass, and i Loved It

Can't stop the headache.

Two bars, countless money spent, old man confrontations with our drunken friends, chicks puking, taxi cab rides, proper rager, half a pack of cigarettes smoked, tired travelers, where did everyone go? 4:19AM train back home? drinking in Penn Station at 3:30AM to ease the hangover, brief hysteria caused by sleep deprivation, miserable, train arrives, hangover hits, sleep on train, people talking loudly, get home by 5:15AM, sleeping on the couch.

Temporary Insanity

To break up the routine of going to the same bars on the island, a bunch of us decided to go to manhattan, back to Stouts on w34th street. Just as rad as i remember, but this time we found out there was a downstairs with karaoke and a dance party. A lot of alcohol was consumed, and a lot of money was spent. We arrived at penn station around 1:30ish, our train was boarding, and everyone got on, except for myself, rich, and matt. i think it might have been temporary insanity, but we were drunk and really excited and thought we should just stay as long as possible. The train departs, and everyone we were with seemed really confused as to why we werent on the train with them. So we walk back up to the street level and just sorta wander about, and grab a bite in a McDonalds. The next train home was at 2:53am. As we waited, we ran into Pat and Rory which was cool. Suck on these blurry Blackberry camera phone pictures i drunkenly snapped.

MoMA Part Deux

Patrick, Danny O, and myself frequented the Museum Of Modern Art on a particularly hot day. Manhattan, of course, was rad as usual. Parts of Times Square/Broadway were sectioned off for a pedestrian mall; tons of things to buy, and tons of food, from different cultures to eat. Instead of takign the subway around town, we tapped into our inner caveman/nomad, and walked around, and it was pretty awesome. What was REALLy cool, was the fact that i showed the person behind the desk at the museum my 2005 school ID and got my ticket FREE. Any money saved helps...after all, we are in a recession, right? Get your culture on!

Insanity belongs to Thursday

Every Thursday night has been eventful, mainly involving alcohol or other fun substances. Last night was no exception. A car packed with people driving to Manhattan in the rain around 10PM. Even though it was tight, once we got into the city, we ran rampant. After two drinks ran us $30, Mathew and i took it upon ourselves to run and scream all around Times Square. The photo above is me, pre-drunk, on these cool neon stairs in Times Square. Patrick gets photo credit, and Rich gets driving credit, for not going insane in NYC traffic. Great Job!

A Visit to David's On A Rainy Day

Mathew and myself paid a visit to our good friend David, in Ridgewood. We spent the day in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, walking about, popping into some record shops, and eating pizza at Joe's Pizza, which was voted by The New York Magazine as the best in Manhattan. ALSO it was featured in Spider-Man the movie. Thats pretty cool I'd say. We went back to David's place, where Mathew and I were introduced to Laura, Dave's girlfriend, who in turn, introduced us to this delicious drink, Coole Swan Liqueur. I can't thank her enough! Dave shredded the guitar and played a tune from his band, Young Boys, which you should listen to. So this damp and grey Monday turned out to be really fun, I see Dave so infrequently, seeing as i live in Levittown, Long Island, but Summer is coming, and we're going to have many skate adventures.
CHEERS!
P.S.
Dave, tell me how much is it for the hair product that starts out as powder, that stuff is awesome. Hook a brother up!

The Killers @ Madison Square Garden, January 25th, 2009

Fantastic show. Really amazing. The band put on a great performance, Everyone sounded really tight, and the sound levels were near perfect, which is something i always am fussy about. The stage was set up with a massive backdrop of lights, that played various visuals and videos as the band played. Behind the band were numerous palm trees to add a real Las Vegas image, which of course makes sense, seeing as the band hail from that very place. Amongst the many highlights, the one that stood out the most for me was when the band did there rendition of a Joy Division song called "Shadowplay". As the band did there performance, the backdrop played clips from the Joy Division/Ian Curtis Biopic "Control". The stage set up really amazed me, coming across as a glitzy concert taking place in the desert. Brilliant approach, I thought. The Killers aim for that big glam appeal and I feel as if they achieved it.

Money Makin' Manhattan AKA MADhattan

ring a ding, its Christmas time in the city. Brian and I traveled to the land of Manhattan earlier today. After a hefty price was paid for a present for Brian's girlfriend at the Disney store, we got to eat at the best Chinese place around, Big Bowl Noodle House, on 6th ave. midtown. The soup bowls are huge and the noodles are massive, plus you get a plastic spoon to sip the broth. I love Chinese people, MERRY CHRISTMAS INDEED!

Halloween Is Crazy.

I don't have any crazy photos for you today, but don't worry because there are plenty insane photos of chaos from last evening, floating around...
For now, feast your eyes on two of the oddest costumes/accessories that i stumbled upon at a Halloween store.

what do you wanna be little Timmy? Superhero? Monster?...No! I wanna be a UPS driver.

This is just plain racist.

I had one of the craziest nights last evening, which happened to be Halloween. Insanity with some good friends in Manhattan and later in Brooklyn. My head is a little fuzzy today....maybe too much Champagne. That's right. CHAMPAGNE!
Thank you to Mike, Hana, Dan King, Dan Unger, Pat Ryan and anybody who gave me a cigarette & a lighter on the roof of that party.
