Car Accident and Franz Ferdinand
Today I acquired the new Franz Ferdinand record. I believe its a bit different form the previous two albums, as this one has more electronic touches to it, and seems darker or seedier. Still, its a great fun album for a night of drinking. Not like beer pong drinking, like wild party drinking and dancing.
Anyways, on my way to work i got into a car accident. Nothing too serious but enough to make me frustrated, although i get frustrated easily. Some bloke decided to make a massively wide left turn into the back end of my car. No damages really, a proper scratching to my car and a broken hub cap. $20 bucks for new caps and ill be fine. Same to the other blokes car, nothing too crazy, but still he called the Police for an accident report. I pray i don't hear form him again, as he said he didn't really want to go through insurance...he was driving a rental car...so i wonder how this is gonna turn out.
This life of mine is becoming a bit of a burden.

The Killers @ Madison Square Garden, January 25th, 2009
Fantastic show. Really amazing. The band put on a great performance, Everyone sounded really tight, and the sound levels were near perfect, which is something i always am fussy about. The stage was set up with a massive backdrop of lights, that played various visuals and videos as the band played. Behind the band were numerous palm trees to add a real Las Vegas image, which of course makes sense, seeing as the band hail from that very place. Amongst the many highlights, the one that stood out the most for me was when the band did there rendition of a Joy Division song called "Shadowplay". As the band did there performance, the backdrop played clips from the Joy Division/Ian Curtis Biopic "Control". The stage set up really amazed me, coming across as a glitzy concert taking place in the desert. Brilliant approach, I thought. The Killers aim for that big glam appeal and I feel as if they achieved it.

HI-HO
So this is pretty old. I recall Brian and myself stumbling across these little Japanese commercials on the Internet back in the day, when we were in high school. Someone put them on YouTube, which further proves the point, you can find ANYTHING on YouTube.

Röyksopp
Röyksopp...much much more then the band that does the song featured in the Geico caveman commercial. Minimal, sparse electro tunes or clubbed up epics, Röyksopp deliver the goods.

Whatever You Do, DONT...
...Go to Oil City skatepark, in Oceanside, LI. It's so cold i can see my breath, the obstacles are a bit shit, and the ground, oh my Lord, let me tell you about the ground! The Ground is so slippery, so slick, you can even push fast and turn, and when you pop you slide around, and i believe theres a fine dust on the ground that adds to the awfulness...OH! and i paid 10 bucks. 10 fucking bucks! Fucking hell, what is this? Nazi germany?
But, all in all, at least i got to skate (for the first time in a month).
Also i ended the night with a 3rd round of weed smoking at Rich's house with Pat. We get high and watch Adult Swim. Seriously, those shows are MADE for people to watch high. I couldnt imagine any other reason to make those awesome, awesome shows

The Devil Is Tricking My Brain?
Stuff that happened today:
- Got a haircut, because it was really pissing me off and needed a chop.
- Watched two football games at Patrick's house with his girlfriend, his dad, Matt, and his dad.
- Ate pizza.
- Found two commercials using Morrissey tracks, one used "Glamorous Glue" and the other was some shitty cover band doing "Everyday is like Sunday".
- Had a massive, long argument about religion, that ultimately lead to nowhere.

STOP THE FUCKING PRESSES!
I am not moving to Arizona, REPEAT, I am not moving to Arizona. After consideration, my parents realized that it would be very difficult to start over. We would have to rent a house for about 3 to 4 months until our permanent home was finished being built. That is a costly endeavor, especially when the bills would still be coming in and we wouldnt have jobs lined up yet. Also, there's scorpions in Arizona that come into your house...and nobody wants that. I'm still looking for a full time job, to help out my dad with bills and shit.
OH! and I'm also getting a dog. How awesome is that?

Im Finished
Well that's it. At 4:00pm today someone is going to call with a final offer for my house. The house that i lived in for 15 years. If the offer matches what my parents are looking for then its a done deal, however I know the offer is going to match because he made previous attempts to buy and came up short, but whoever the fucker is, he is persistent. I'm nervous as all hell, and I have never been this nervous before in my life. Arizona? I would be moving from Long Island New York to fucking Arizona? Goodbye everything I know; hello obscurity, loneliness and fear. I need a job, i need to establish myself. I'm going to miss my friends dearly. Honestly i have no fucking idea what I'm going to do without them. Will i still skateboard? Its not fun by yourself, but I have no other options. Who will i drink with? Smoke with? Watch TV with? Laugh with? Its all over. All the work i put into making myself here is undone in a flash. I leave, with all intentions to come back and visit regularly, and down the line, move back here. Not necessarily Levittown, but NY in general. Levittown is a funny place, you grow up resenting the fact that its so boring, and some of the people are less then great, but I'm starting to realize how much I'm going to miss it. So now what? I'm going to have to learn a new phone number, address, town, city, and state. I'm going to need to learn what block to turn down to get "home", and what road will take me to my "job" , and where the restaurants are.
I'm going to miss so many people, it hurts way too much. Thats what it really comes down to. The people. Those who made an impact on my life, and influenced me in any sort of way. Those who I was/am glad to call my friend. The people at Slomin's who kept me sane, who talked to me, who I consider a friend more then a co-worker, I'm going to miss you beyond belief. All my friends who I consistently hang out with since I was young and to newer friends who I'm glad i got to know, I'll miss you a whole lot as well. When we would sit around and say, "There's nothing to do, I'm bored", I can honestly now say I'll miss that too.
I love New York, and I'll go as far as saying I Love Long Island, with all its imperfections.
Cheers/Love

Happy New Year 2009
Well then, it's been a helluva year.
Good and bad.
I got obliterated at Rich's house last night on Patron and Bud Light.
It's all a blurry memory now.
Sorry Rich, (if you ever read my blog), for throwing up on your back porch.
Its better then throwing up in that little bowl you gave me.
Also thanks for letting me sleep over.
Today i nursed my hangover when i got back home by watching the NHL Winter Classic between Detroit and Chicago at Wrigley Field.
It's 2009 and Clownfarmer is still here.
This blog took a nice shape, covering food, skateboarding, hockey, soccer, television, movies, and my general life experiences/adventures/irreverent nonsense.
Sorry for the puke, Rich.
